Ras Maestros Technology Pvt Ltd (a subsidiary of Ras Resorts & Apart Hotels Ltd) in association with Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will introduce handheld multimedia device to inform, educate, entertain and guide the tourists at heritage sites in India starting October this year. The Group has identified sites -Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Khajuraho, Sanchi, Elephanta Caves, Fatehpur Sikri, Qutub Minar, Mamallapuram etc. for distributing the instruments.

Vishamber Shewakramani, Managing Director, Ras Resorts & Apart Hotels informed, “When I used to visit the historical monuments overseas, I found they used this automatic device as a guide. But in India, we are limited to human guide, wherein at times, authenticity and credibility of information is at question. So, we decided to replicate the overseas formula in India. The multimedia device is a location-based instrument, which gives information about a particular location where the device is held. It will provide a truly global experience when it comes to cultural and historical interpretation.
