Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO) is now looking at expanding its network membership base. Currently the Association has 34 members from Jaipur and has its branch offices in Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore) and more. It is now considering expanding its network by including travel operators from other parts of the state by early next year. The aim is to build an enhanced network of travel suppliers across the state for making the destination more accessible and popular in the international market. The association will start approaching tour operators from Tier II and Tier III cities of Rajasthan from year-end and aims to have about 70 members by mid-2010.
Talking about the network expansion plans, Khalid Khan, President, RATO said, “We have major tour operators of Rajasthan in our Association. But during this recessionary period, it is our responsibility to join forces and promote our state in the domestic and international markets. We are currently executing a strategy through which we can expand our membership. We are focusing on cities like Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, etc. |
