Royal Jordanian (RJ) announced that it has selected Amadeus Altéa Customer Management and ecommerce new suite of single technology platform solutions to manage its passenger services systems, including reservations, inventory and departure control. The airline will start implementing the solution in October 2010.
Hussein Dabbas, President/CEO, RJ said the IT partnership agreement with Amadeus IT comes in line with Royal Jordanian’s drive towards modernisation and growth in the air transportation services. Altea, a shared platform among partner airlines and among the carriers in the oneworld alliance, will strengthen the integration of these airlines and enhance passenger services, starting with booking and ending with boarding flights, which will result in better revenues, a strategic priority of the airline.
According to Dabbas, Royal Jordanian’s strategy is to invest constantly in improving its fundamental resources — modernising the fleet, enhancing capacity of the human resources and adopting the latest industry technology — to achieve its objective of maintaining the competitive level it enjoys today in the airline industry. |
