| | After entering the Middle Eastern market with its property in Dubai and venturing in East Africa with the hotel in Dar Es Salaam, Sarovar Hotels Pvt. Ltd. is now expanding its presence in the East African region. The hotel chain has recently concluded negotiations with a Nairobi based company venturing into the hospitality sector to manage the company's first property in Nairobi. The 140 room five-star hotel will be located near the Nairobi Game Park.
Informing TravelBiz Monitor exclusively about the development, Ajay Bakaya, Executive Director, Sarovar Hotels Pvt. Ltd. stated, “We have adopted the property under a management contract. This gives us a good visibility in the international market.” The property will be operational by June 2009 and will be called Ole Sereni Hotel.
When asked about the reason for not branding the hotel after any Sarovar brand, Bakaya informs, “There already is a hotel chain in Africa called Sarova Hotels. This would only create brand confusion. Besides, the company will take time to register the brand in the country. Thus, eventually we may look at branding the property under the Sarovar Premiere brand.” | | Read complete story >> (You need to login first to read complete story). New User? Register for FREE! |
