SeaDream Yacht Club recently released details of its plans to sail a series of voyages in Asia and Northern Australia in late 2013. On completion of its 2013 Mediterranean season, SeaDream II will sail to Asia. The ‘Passage to the Far East’ voyage will depart from Athens, Greece in October 2013, and halt for a transit at the Suez Canal, and include excursions to Egypt’s archeological sites, besides various other destinations, before arriving in Mumbai, India. From Mumbai, the yacht will sail to Singapore and the Far East, and will offer 18 voyages in the region. Voyages will be seven to 15 days long, but most may be combined as back-to-back voyages for lengthier holidays, according to a press release. Scheduled to stay in Asia until April 2014, the voyages’ itineraries include Asia’s ports in different countries, including Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, East Timor, Northern Australia, Indonesia, New Guinea, Vietnam, Cambodia and Hong Kong.

The voyages include a two-day stay in Yangon, Myanmar, with a visit to the Shwedagon Pagoda; an optional full-day excursion by air to Mandalay and Bagan; yachting at Langkawi Archipelago, Malaysia; visit to the Phi Phi Islands, Thailand; playing golf in Phuket, Malaysia, and at the Andaman Club, a five-star golf resort and casino on Thahtay Kyun Island, Myanmar; exploring the World Heritage Site, Halong Bay, Vietnam; pre- and post-voyage overland packages from Singapore to Cambodia, to Borobudur (UNESCO site) and to the Prambanan Temple at Yogyakarta.

Bob Lepisto, President, SeaDream, said “Virtually every country in the region is accessible by water and SeaDream’s yachting itineraries include an incredible mix of commercial cities, pristine beaches and impressive historical sights. We’ve planned very unique calls, such as the little-visited islands of the Burmese Mergui Archipelago in the Andaman Sea and Sanya, on Hainan Island in China.”
