Shoreline Group to introduce Ayurvedic health resort in Kochi by mid-2011

Plans to operate inbound and outbound divisions by this year end

Kochi-based travel and leisure management company Shoreline Group is now entering the hospitality industry. The Group has recently acquired six acres of land in Chembu (25 kms from Kochi) for building an Ayurvedic health resort. The upcoming property is planned to have about 60 – 70 rooms along with a party lounge near the water body. When asked about the name of the upcoming property, Jiju Pillai, Director, Shoreline Group said, “We are currently holding talks with few top hospitality chains in India for franchising rights. We are looking at a franchising model, where in we will get the brand name from a well known hospitality group while the management will be looked after by us. We are going to finalise the hotel name with in a month or so and by mid 2011, our resort will be operational.”

Apart from building an Ayurvedic resort, the group is currently operating a travel arm named Shoreline Lifestyles Pvt Ltd. It also operates a domestic division along with a car rental division. It is now going to introduce an inbound and outbound division by end of this year. For the same, it is currently undergoing research on various destinations in India
