Singapore Tourism Board targeting MICE market in India

Recently, Singapore Tourism Board (STB) introduced ten unique venues for the MICE market in India. STB is focusing on team building activities and inspiring experiences for rewarding and motivating MICE groups through this new venue list. Currently, business and MICE visitors constitute approximately 28 per cent of Singapore's total visitor arrivals and account for 35 per cent (SGD four billion) of the total tourism receipts. Talking about the new venues, Toh Sorklee, Area Director Western India, STB said, Singapore owns many out of the box destinations and venues for corporate and MICE segment. This ensures remarkable experience for travellers looking for change from the standard travel experience. The listed venues offer excellent range of meeting facilities and services for clients of all budgets.

Listed in the top ten MICE venues are Sentosa Beach Front, Underwater World Singapore, Cavenagh Bridge, Esplanade, Merlion Park, Night Safari, Singapore Flyer, Raffles Hotel, Jewel Box, St James Power station and Cheng Ho. Apart from focusing on the MICE sector, STB is also stepping up marketing efforts in Tier-II cities in India.
