Thailand-based hotel chain, Six Senses Resorts & Spa, which was speculating its foray in the Indian market, has decided to enter with the Six Senses Destination Spa brand. The hotel chain is in advanced discussion with investors to develop a property in South India. It aims to have a property, which will be operational in India within the next three years.
Besides this, the company is also exploring opportunities to develop its Six Senses Spa brand in India through the third party management route and is in discussion with hotel chains across the country for the same. The Thai hotel chain has also been approached by a high-end residential property developer to manage the spa facility within its premises. Plans are also in the pipeline to develop a spa training centre.
Speaking exclusively to TravelBiz Monitor Ana Maria Tavares, General Manager & Managing Director, Six Senses Destination Spa stated, “We will consider developing a spa training centre in India, once the destination is finalised for the property and we have a few third-party management contracts in place.”
