Slovenia Tourist Board forays in the Indian market with workshops in Mumbai and Delhi

To organise FAM trip to Slovenia for travel trade early next year

After receiving good number of Indian business travellers, Slovenia Tourist Board has entered the Indian market with an aim to attract leisure traffic. The tourist board marked its entry by holding a workshop for the travel trade in Mumbai yesterday and will hold a similar workshop in Delhi on the 14th of this month. The workshops have been organised in collaboration with Slovenia based Destination Management Company, Panoramic Travel and Carlson Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd, which has been appointed by Panoramic Travel as its representative in India. The aim of the workshops is to create awareness of Slovenia as a destination and its product offerings.  Slovenia Tourist Board is keen on promoting nature, culture, spa and wellness, adventure and wildlife of Slovenia in the Indian market. High-end and repeat Indian travellers to Europe who are looking for more relaxing holidays are target segments for Slovenia Tourist Board.

Rok Klancnik, Director, Slovenian Tourist Board said, “Slovenia recorded 2.8 million tourists in 2008 of which 60 per cent were international arrivals. India and China are the biggest emerging markets for Slovenia from Asia.
