South Africa Tourism views India as a major MICE market

Hosts six Indian companies at Meetings Africa 2010

The increasing interest of South Africa Tourism in India as a MICE market was evident at Meetings Africa, which witnessed the participation of six Indian companies. South Africa Tourism hosted Dream Horizon (Vicky Soni), Mercury Travels Limited (Augustine Barretto), Sunlight Travel India (Bharat Bhushan Sharma), Carnation Travels (Rajesh Sethi), Travel Corp India (Shekhar Niyogi) and Shaurya Travels (Ajit Sehgal) for Meetings Africa which was held end of last month at the Sandton Convention Centre. The three day exhibition organised for the sixth time was attended by over 100 hosted international buyers from South Africa’s main business tourism source markets and approximately 2,000 visitors including buyers and media representatives. More than 200 exhibitors from across the business tourism sector marketed their products and services. International buyers and media were also taken on post-show tours to KwaZulu-Natal, the Western Cape and the Eastern Cape where they visited some of the country's top business tourism products.
