| | With an aim to intensify the destination awareness in the Indian market, the South African (SA) Tourism will be conducting a four-city road show –Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Ahmedabad from February 8-13, 2010. The road will witness participation of 30 delegates from South Africa promoting the FIFA World Cup 2010 (June11-July 11) and other tourism products of the destination. Besides this, the tourism board will also organise ‘Learn South Africa’ training workshop in March 2010. The workshop and content kit for the same is currently being planned and will be conducted in 12 Indian cities. Travel agents across the country will register for the workshop and classroom training for the workshops. Medha Sampat, Country Manager India, SA Tourism said, “These workshops are planned with an objective to increase the destination awareness among the fraternity. This year we are targeting a total of 53,000 Indian tourists to South Africa.”
