| | South African Tourism has undertaken various marketing initiatives to woo Indian travellers this summer. Offering a robust advertising and communication mix, the plan includes outdoor billboard campaigns across eight key cities, in-cinema campaign covering 180 key cinema screens across nine cities, online promotion with Web 18 called ‘Fantastic Five’, a television promotion with Zoom TV titled ‘Discover South Africa’, a strategic partnership with India Today magazine, and a radio promotion with Big 92.7FM along with South Africa Airways.
It has come up with a special 16-page supplement on South Africa with a national news magazine. The advertising campaigns in multiplexes will reach to a much wider audience with 180 screens in nine major cities. The billboard campaign has hoardings at all prominent sites across eight cities with images of South Africa inviting consumers to plan their next holiday to South Africa.
