Interim Budget 2009-10 Reactions: K P Sharma, Chairman Uttarakhand Chapter, IATO

It is an Interim Budget and it is sad that no incentives have been provided for the tourism industry. Tourism in India is going through a bad pitch now due to the global meltdown and various other reasons. But we expect some reduction in the Service Tax, which tour operator pay about 12.3 per cent currently to the government. Unless we reduce the rate of our tour products, nobody will come to India.
