Swiss International Airlines, which reduced its frequency on Mumbai and Delhi sectors last year due to the economic slow down will re-introduce the flights in a phase manner. The airline is currently operating five times a week from Mumbai and New Delhi. From June 2, 2010 the carrier will operate six flights a week from Mumbai to Zurich and add one more flight on Mumbai- Zurich sector with effect from its winter schedule starting October 30, 2010. On the New Delhi route, the airline will add one more flight to the existing five flights a week from October 30, 2010 and will add one more flight from 2011 summer schedule.
Speaking to TravelBiz Monitor, Jean-Philippe Benoit, General Manager India, Swiss International Airlines said, “Last year, due to the economic slowdown the traffic on these sectors was low and hence looking at the commercial viability of the operations we reduced the flights to five flights a week.
