The IATA Agents Association of India (IAAI) Chennai Chapter held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Egmore, Chennai late last week. At the AGM, T K Gopakumar, Director, Magellan Travel Services was elected President; R Sreedhar, Proprietor, Cross World Tours and Travels was elected Treasurer and K Babu, Director, Bhagya Travel and Tours was elected Secretary of the IAAI Chennai Chapter. The AGM was attended by members of IAAI including Biji Eapen, National President and Tom Varghese, President, Kerala State.
The Association also elected Executive Committee (EC) members for the IAAI Chennai Chapter. These EC members are; H S Habeed Mohammed, Managing Director, East Coast Travels; P D Manian, Managing Director, Oyster World Tours and Travels; H S Ashraf Ali, Managing Partner, Sangham Travels; John Francis, Managing Director, Kway Travels and D L Jekannathan, Managing Director, All India Travel Agency. Jekannathan is also the National Treasurer of IAAI.
The AGM was followed by a public meeting, where various issues concerning the travel trade were discussed. |
