| | In an industry which is rapidly changing and consumers constantly evolving, the need for the travel trade in India to re-invent and reposition is greater than ever. Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), which is celebrating its long and successful run of 60 years on December 16, 2011, has consistently focused on educating its members and enabling them to become more enterprising in adapting to the changing scenarios in the travel industry. The Association has also vociferously raised and fought against issues that have been detrimental to the travel trade fraternity. It is no surprise that TAAI, which started with a team of 12 members in 1951, has expanded its reach across the country and has a membership base of 2,500 under various categories like Active, Associate, Allied, Government and Non-Resident.
