The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) yesterday announced the winners of the second edition of TAAI Travel Awards at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. The awards were held at the sidelines of the ongoing India Travel Trade Expo (ITTE) (August 6-7, 2010). The chief guest for the awards was Chhagan Bhujbal, Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra.
Initiating the event, Sunil Kumar, Secretary General and Chairman- Awards Committee, TAAI stated, “The winners of the awards were chosen by TAAI members this year. The travel agents received and formulated opinions on the winners of these awards, which has helped to reflect customer opinions. About 300 TAAI affiliated travel agents participated in the voting process.” Rajji Rai, President, TAAI also reiterated the same stating that the TAAI Travel Awards 2010 are momentous and symbolic of the voice of the customers as travel agents represent what customers say.
