TAAI expecting to form Uttar Pradesh Chapter before September 2009

Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) is expecting to form the Uttar Pradesh Chapter by or before its annual convention in September this year. To form a chapter, the Association requires a minimum of 25 members, while currently the Association has managed to have close to 20 members. It is expecting to receive few more members within a month or so to form the chapter before September 2009. Along with the Uttar Pradesh Chapter, TAAI is also working towards introducing City Committee in Shillong and Guwahati before or by July this year.

Talking about the expected Uttar Pradesh Chapter to be formed, Samar Ray, Acting Chairman – Eastern Chapter, TAAI said, “TAAI is continuously working towards increasing membership of the Association and working towards enhancing and offering revenue streams to its members. Uttar Pradesh is emerging as a tourist destination, while people from the state are increasingly opting for vacations in domestic and international destinations
