| | The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) has decided to work closely with National Tourism Offices (NTOs) in India to promote outbound tourism. For this, the Association is in talks with NTOs in India to conduct overseas study tours for its members. The idea is to provide first hand experience of overseas destinations to TAAI members and their agency staff to promote tourism and also a unique platform for all local tourism stakeholders to showcase destinations, innovative tourism products and services to TAAI members. For this, TAAI has suggested to organise study tours either in the month of August or September this year. This information was divulged by Jagdeep Rikhy, Managing Committee Member and Chairman, TAAI Tourism Council. However, he refused to name the NTOs TAAI is in talks with.
The overseas study tours will include various features such as education seminar which will be a two-day long destination specific seminar to enable participants to learn in detail about the destination and products; opportunity to network with local travel trade organisations; complimentary day tours to get familiarised with the destination | | Read complete story >> (You need to login first to read complete story).
