TAAI kick starts ITTE 2010 in Mumbai

The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), in a first-of-its-kind initiative, kick started its India Travel Trade Expo (ITTE) (August 6-7, 2010) today at World Trade Centre, Mumbai. The expo registered 150 domestic suppliers and 50 international suppliers exhibiting at the expo. TAAI intends to convert this as an annual event and will also look at hosting the same in other cities of India. For participating exhibitors, ITTE will offer an opportunity to network and interact with their buyers and increase awareness about their products.

The two-day event will also witness business sessions – CEO's Think Tank and a business sessions on the trends in the outbound, inbound and aviation industry allowing them to gain insights from industry experts. The sessions will address challenges faced by the industry and outcome of the discussions will be submitted as a White Paper to the Central government highlighting issues like Service Tax and airline commissions.
