TAAI managing committee finalises Turkey and Mauritius for pre and post tours of this year’s annual convention in Dubai

The managing committee of Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) has finalised destinations for pre and post tours, which will be conducted as part of its 58th annual convention from September 29-October 2, 2009 in Dubai. The committee has finalised Turkey as the destination for the pre convention tour and Mauritius for the post convention tour. Jordan is also being considered for the same. According to Iqbal Mulla, Treasurer and Chairman – Marts and Special Events, TAAI, the Association is not looking at any post tour in major Middle East countries due to rigid visa facilitation process.

Talking about the pre and post tours, Mulla said, “We are working closely with the Turkey and Mauritius tourism boards in finalising the itinerary for the TAAI delegates. We are trying our best to include the best possible products and sites of the destination which will help the delegates to experience and understand the product first hand and gain more knowledge about it. Destinations like Mauritius and Turkey are already doing well in the Indian market, but through the tours we are going to offer new and updated products of these destinations.
