Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) will sign an agreement with United Business Media (UBM), a leading global business media company, on March 26, 2009 for a joint-initiative to organise a Travel Mart for the travel trade tourism industry in January 2010. When asked about the objective behind organising the Travel Mart, Anoop Kanuga, Chairman (Western Region), TAAI said, “ The Mart will provide a B2B networking platform to travel agents, tour operators, online travel agents, Ministry of Tourism, tourism boards, destination management companies and others. It will be unique as it will go beyond creating product or destination awareness; it will provide the players with on the spot tie-up opportunities for better business.”
