The Travel Agents Association of India – Tourism Council is in the process to introduce a new initiative, ‘Famtaaistic Offer’ for its members. The main objective of this initiative is to provide first hand experience of outbound tourism products and destinations and thereby promote tourism. According to Jagdeep Rikhy, Chairman, TAAI Tourism Council, the Council will contact NTO’s, international and domestic tourism vendors such as hotels, airlines, cruise companies, attractions and transport companies to provide best rates for a FAM for TAAI members to experience their destinations and products. This offer will be initially available only to accredited representatives of TAAI.
IndoChina Services, an Indonesia based Destination Management Company represented by Outbound Marketing India, has made the first ‘Famtaaistic’ offer for TAAI members. The offer is a seven day FAM tour to Indonesia which will take place October end 2009. Apart from this, according Rikhy, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Italian State Tourism Board and several other tourism boards have expressed interest to partner with this initiative. |
