The Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) and UBM India, part of the United Business Media Limited have launched the India Travel Trade Expo (ITTE), which will be held in Mumbai from February 18 – 20, 2010 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. Speaking at the launch, Iqbal Mulla, Hon. Treasurer and Chairman – Marts & Special Events, TAAI said, “The Expo will be conducted on the lines of international travel B2B events such as WTM in London and ITB Berlin. We have been assured full support by the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) and this event will pave the way for creation of new business avenues in the industry.”
Commenting on the launch of the expo, Sujata Thakur, Regional Director, India Tourism, Mumbai mentioned, “This year has been termed as the ‘Visit India’ year and this expo will help in keeping momentum up for Indian tourism. Mumbai as a destination will certainly gain from the event, as it is being held for the first time in this city.”
The expo will be held across 12,000 square metres gross and will be in a covered air-conditioned environment. Participants can look forward to a structured buyer-seller meet and insightful sessions, |
