Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) organised a tourism seminar in New Delhi at Hotel Ashok yesterday evening with the objective of unveiling its Vision 2020. The seminar was attended by prominent TAAI members and also saw huge attendance of various National Tourism Offices (NTOs) in India. Representatives from NTOs such as VisitBritain, Visit London, Tourism Authority of Thailand, tourism boards of America, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Ireland, China, Russia etc. attended the seminar. The seminar was organised to create a common platform between TAAI members and NTOs in India in order to sell the latter’s outbound tourism products in the country through TAAI members.
Speaking in support of the objective of Vision 2020, Rajji Rai, President, TAAI said that NTOs in India could reach Tier-I cities in the country by organising road shows and other advertisement campaigns. “TAAI can help NTOs here, reach Tier-II and Tier-III cities along with Tier-I cities as we have members in every nook and corner of the country,” added Rai.
