TAFI suspends membership of FCm Travel Solutions till the next General Body Meeting

Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) recently suspended membership of FCm Travel Solutions (India) Pvt. Ltd., citing the reason that FCm Travel Solutions is not supporting travel agents’ cause of fighting for agency commissions. According to Pradip Lulla, President, TAFI the corporate travel management specialist (FCm Travel Solutions), which is a member of TAFI, did not support the Association in December last year in its fight for agency commissions.

“We sent a show-cause notice (notice seeking clarification for reason behind selling Singapore Airlines (SQ) tickets and how many tickets have been sold till date from the day trade associations withdrew support to SQ) to FCm Travel Solutions on January 7, 2009 and asked them to revert within seven days. However, TAFI has not received any reply from the company. The company is still selling SQ tickets to which all the trade associations withdrew support in January this year. Thus, we decided to suspend the membership of FCm Travel Solutions till the next General Body Meeting,” informed Lulla.
