Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) which will hold its annual convention at Shangri-La in Chiang Mai, Thailand from October 22-25, 2009 is targeting a total participation of 1,000 delegates. The Association commenced registrations for the convention from July 31, 2009 and has already received registrations from more than 300 participants. Registration for the convention will close on September 30, 2009.
Speaking with TravelBiz Monitor, Capt. Promod Kohli, Convention Chairman, TAFI said, “We have received over 300 registrations and with the response that we have, we should be able to achieve our target of 1,000 participants.” The hotel partners for accommodation during the convention are Shangri-La and Le Meridien. TAFI is also going to conduct post convention tours to destinations in Thailand, Manila in Philippines and Siem Reap province in Cambodia. The post tours in Thailand are offered to destinations like Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, Krabi, Chiang Rai, Hua Hin, and Chiang Mai. “There has been good response to the post convention tours so far. |
