With an aim to increase visitor arrivals from India, especially young travellers, Taiwan will embark on a focused awareness campaigns in Indian schools with regards to the educational opportunities available in Taiwan. According to Wenchyi Ong, Representative, Taipei Economic & Cultural Centre, New Delhi, a special Educational Attache has been appointed in Delhi to co-ordinate with the activities in this regard.
Ong said, “We want to present the vast opportunities available in Taiwan for Indian students. There is lack of awareness about these opportunities among school principals, parents and students here. Parents need to spend only ten per cent of the cost they spend now for sending their children to Anglo-Saxon Universities. Quality of education is one of the best and is recognised by all overseas countries. As an additional benefit, children can also learn Chinese language during their stay in Taiwan.”
In an open invite to the travel trade, Ong said that the representative office was ready to work with interested tour operators in the country to facilitate Visa processing. |
