| | The Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communication, Republic of China (Taiwan Tourism) in association with Hong Kong Tourism is planning to develop travel and tour packages exclusively for Indian tourists. These packages are likely to be launched in October this year and will be targeted towards business and FIT segment from India. This information was divulged by Kwang-Shoung Chao, Director - International Affairs Division, Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communication, Republic of China. He mentioned that Taiwan Tourism is expecting to increase the number of Indian tourists’ arrivals in the coming years.
In order to increase inbound tourism from India, Taiwan Tourism is also planning to educate the travel trade about tourism offerings of the country through media and FAM trips.
He added that currently the tourism industry in Taiwan is doing well, especially after opening the country to Chinese travellers.
