Finnish Tourist Board yesterday concluded their annual road show – 'Fascinating Finland' in Mumbai. As reported by TravelBiz Monitor on February 21, 2009; the road show brought in various sellers and tourist bodies from surrounding regions of Finland, one of them being Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau, Estonia. Since March 2008, Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau started focusing on the Asian market.
Divulging information about the plans of the Bureau, Tiina Kiibus, Marketing Manager, Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau said, “We started focusing on the Asian market last year with an aim to increase tourist inflow from China, India, South Korea and Japan to Tallinn. This year, the Finnish Tourist Board invited us to participate in ‘Fascinating Finland’ road show and it proved to be a golden opportunity for us to showcase our destination to the Indian travel trade. We have received an immense response from the Mumbai travel fraternity and are positive about road show in Bangalore on fourth and in New Delhi on the sixth of this month.” |
