| | Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) plans to aggressively tap the Wedding Tourism segment from India this year. To encash on this high-revenue generating segment, TAT India is awaiting approval from the head office for a special scheme to be launched specially for the Wedding Tourism segment. Under this scheme, if the couple gets married in Thailand, TAT will sponsor the honeymoon for the couple. Speaking with TravelBiz Montior, Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, Director, TAT said, “This scheme is an India specific initiative and we are looking at starting this scheme from October this year and continue it till September 2010.
