The Oberoi Zahra, luxury Nile cruiser, has been designated the best five-star cruiser on the Nile and The Oberoi, Sahl Hasheesh, the best resort on the Red Sea by the Ministry of Tourism, Egypt, in the 2009 Tourism Awards. The Awards were presented in recognition of a remarkable effort in promoting tourism to Egypt.
Instituted by the Ministry of Tourism, these are the most coveted awards of the travel and tourism industry in Egypt. Conferred annually in various categories, the Awards recognise performance and contribution to promoting Egypt as a tourist destination.
