TOFT Wildlife Tourism Awards postponed to September 30, 2010

The Travel Operators for Tigers (TOFT) Awards Committee has decided to postpone the HSBC presented TOFT Wildlife Tourism Awards Dinner and ceremony - scheduled to be held on April 16, 2010 to September 30, 2010 in New Delhi.

All the award sponsors, new title sponsor, HSBC bank, together with media sponsors like NDTV, Outlook Traveller and Sanctuary Magazine have agreed to maintain their involvement in this important award programme.

The Judging Panel, chaired by Mike Pandey, have collectively decided that they needed more time to seek further nominees and judge present nominees against stricter Award criteria. All shortlisted nominees will remain in contention as before, but further scrutiny maybe required over the coming months by the panel. The Panel recognises that Wildlife Tourism is a critical conservation tool, and these awards must highlight the best from across India.
