| | With Mumbai coming under serious terrorist attacks, growth in the other wise booming tourism industry specially inbound tourists is at a stand still. The terror attacks witnessed a lot of travel agents cancelling air tickets, holiday packages and countries like US and Australia sending out travel advisory to not travel to India. Pradip Lulla, Acting President, Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) said, “Business was anyways affected due to the current recession and the zero commission and with the Mumbai terror attacks travel into India will hugely be affected.”
Domestic flights out of Mumbai have been affected to a large extent as passenger traffic is very low at the Mumbai airport.
