| | India Mega Famil and Workshop (IMFW) 2009 organised by Tourism Australia (TA) which started yesterday with the inaugural function at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in Gold Coast, Australia has 100 Indian buyers from 20 cities and 70 sellers participating in the three day event. The annual Indian Travel Mission organised by TA in India has been rechristened as IMFW and is being held for the first time in Australia.
The event has participation from all eight states and territories with 23 first time sellers and 26 first time buyers. The event has been designed to provide travel agents from India the opportunity to update their knowledge of Australian tourism products through workshops and familiarisation programmes and for Australian-based suppliers to get a better understanding of the Indian market.
