Tourism Australia (TA) participated at ‘Celebrating Vivaha’, one of India’s leading wedding exhibition organised by Vintage Group, held at Hotel Ashok in New Delhi from the 12th to the 14th of this month to tap the city’s honeymoon segment. “This was Tourism Australia’s sixth consecutive year of participation at the ‘Celebrating Vivaha’ exhibition. The exhibition gave TA the platform to directly interact with potential honeymooners and showcase Australia as an ideal honeymoon destination,” said Abhilasha Jain, Country Manager (India), Tourism Australia.
Tourism Australia partnered with Deja vu Holidays, travel agents based in Delhi to answer queries and facilitate bookings for the potential visitors. Jaspreet Chopra, Director, Deja Vu Holidays said, “The big agenda is to tap the honeymoon segment by having face-to-face interaction with the potential customers. This is one segment which is earning profits despite economic recession.” She further added that Australia is one of the preferred destinations for honeymooners in India apart from South America, France, Bali, Greece and Tahiti which is also coming up in a big way. |
