After winning various awards for 'Best training programme' in Asia, United Kingdom and United States of America, Tourism Australia’s global online training programme- the Aussie Specialist Programme (ASP) is going to be refined next month. Tourism Australia will launch a new website for the online training programme with improved content and new design along with enhanced interactivity. Currently, the programme has a total of 24,000 registered agents of which 11,000 are fully qualified Aussie Specialist agents and others are still in the training stage. Out of the total, there are 8,000 registered users and 3,000 qualified Aussie specialists from Asia. The new ASP will have five modules, which will include Australian experiences, travel essentials and itinerary planning.
The programme being run in co-operation with the state and territory tourism organisations has many benefits once the agent qualifies as an Aussie Specialist. Few of them are access to marketing tools and resources, familiarisation trips opportunities, e-newsletters, invites for trade events, Travel Club membership, certification and business card stickers. |
