Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) recently launched its website www.amazingthailand.co.in at a function in the capital. According to Anurag Bhagat, Business Director, Indigo Systems & Technology Consulting, the new website will be developed in two phases, wherein the first phase will provide only information. The second phase will include feature articles and cost-effective packages. TAT had appointed Indigo Systems & Technology Consulting as consultant for developing the website. The function was organised in order to maintain good relationships with the media and tourism stakeholders, to rewind the goodwill of Thailand among tourists in India.
Admitting that tourism was a priority industry in Thailand, Chattan Kunjara Na Ayudhya, Director, TAT-India said that India is a potential tourism market for Thailand. When contacted Poldej Worachat, Minister, Charge d’ Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy in India, informed that he has recommended developing few special cheap packages for Indian travellers, which will include visa fees, etc., so that tourists do not have to pay extra money while travelling. |
