| | With an aim to increase the destination awareness of Fiji, Tourism Fiji has launched Fiji Matai Specialist programme in India for the travel trade fraternity. The specialist programme will be undertaken on the website www.fijimatai.com where the agents will have to complete four different modules to be qualified Fiji Matai Specialist. The registration for Fiji Matai Specialist Programme is free for the travel trade. “The Fiji Matai Specialist Programme will empower the travel trade to sell the destination more effectively. India is an emerging market for Fiji along with China and it is the right time to introduce the programme as it will increase tourist influx into the country,” explained Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, Minister for Tourism, Fiji.
Fiji is also promoting leisure and honeymoon segments along with MICE in the Indian market. “The offerings in Fiji are diverse in terms of activities one can pursue.
