| | Tourism Fiji is looking at introducing Fiji Matai Specialist programme in the Indian market early next year. The online specialist programme is currently running in top source markets, however for the emerging markets like India, the tourism board is planning to simplify the programme to suit Indian requirements. Speaking to TravelBiz Monitor during her ongoing visit to India, Adeline Lee-Erasito, Marketing Services Manager, Tourism Fiji stated, “We are doing sales calls during this trip among key agents and we have definitely seen interest for the destination. We are already planning to do a three-city workshop early next year and we will look at introducing the Fiji Matai Specialist programme during the workshops in India.” The destination is looking at attracting the Indian clientele through the launch of new flight connections of the national carrier, Air Pacific from Fiji to Hong Kong. The twice a week operations are slated to begin from December 3, 2009. | | Read complete story >> (You need to login first to read complete story). New User? Register for FREE! |
