Tourism Ireland to strengthen destination awareness in India through media campaign

Tourism Ireland is now strengthening its destination awareness by introducing a media campaign targeted directly at end consumers. Through the media campaign, which is expected to start this month, Tourism Ireland will highlight its three theme offerings like natural attractions, culture and castles and cities to consumers. Speaking exclusively with TravelBiz Monitor, Jim Paul, Director New and Developing Markets, Tourism Ireland said, “The campaign will increase the awareness levels of the destination and thus attract more traffic to Ireland. The final details of the media campaign are being worked out right now. Along side the media campaign, we will continue to work with the travel trade fraternity.” India falls under the new and developing markets for Ireland along with countries like China, Japan, South Africa, UAE, Middle East and New Zealand. Tourism Ireland has identified the potential of each emerging market and India will see maximum allotment of budget to promote the destination.
