Witnessing year-on-year success of the annual India Travel Mission (ITM) by Tourism Australia, various regional tourism boards of Australia are turning their focus to the Indian market. New South Wales (NSW) is one such tourism board, which is now planning to organise an annual trade mission on an international level to enhance its tourism front.
Tourism NSW is planning to organise an annual trade event which may be called ‘Sydney Mission’ in six countries (destinations in Europe, USA, India and China) this year. In India, the mission will take place from September 13-19 this year in Mumbai, New Delhi and Ahmedabad. The mission is expected to bring in about 22 travel suppliers from NSW region to India.
To further enhance its presence and destination awareness in India, it is going to open its representative office in Mumbai, India by October this year.
