TravelConnect.in, an Indian online travel trade community launched in September this year to provide the travel industry a platform for business networking and exchange of ideas and information is targeting 2,000-2,500 members by March next year. Headquartered in Udaipur, Rajasthan, TravelConnect plans to increase activities and generate regular B2B leads in the market and build database of members representing all tourist destinations in India.
“Apart from veterans of the industry, we especially intend to get representation from small scale entrepreneurs like home based travel agents or homestay owners, who otherwise have limited access to market their services despite the fact that they can work with bigger business houses to give regional representation,” said Ankit Bhargava, Head, Marketing and Promotions, TravelConnect.in. The team working for the website are virtually connected from Jaipur, Guwahati and United States while Uttam Pegu heads the technical team. |
