Travelocity & Travelguru on verge of major announcement

According to reliable industry sources global online travel player – Travelocity and hotel  aggregator, Travelguru  will be making a major announcement by the end of this month. Most information being provided by sources point to the fact that Travelocity could be buying out Travelguru. According to sources, the move by Travelocity to acquire Travelguru is to get access to the largest hotel inventory in India.

“A high ranking official from Travelocity will be visiting India next week to make a major announcement,” divulged a source close to the development.

When TravelBiz Monitor asked officials of Travelguru and Travelocity to confirm the news and get more information on the same, both parties refused to comment.
