The Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) is all set to promote MICE Tourism. It will promote hill stations of Ooty, Kodaikannal and Yercaud and the coastal resort of Mamallapuram as MICE destinations. Preparing the four nationally popular destinations to meet the global demands for MICE, TTDC has embarked on augmenting the facilities and infrastructure in its hotels at these destinations.
According to a report in Express Buzz, as a first step, according to official sources, the facilities for organising conferences have been improved. Recently, N Suresh Rajan, Minister for Tourism, Tamil Nadu inaugurated 20 renovated rooms at the TTDC Beach Resort at Mamallapuram. Further, Hollow Bamboo cottages, offering indigenous treatments have also been launched at the resort.
TTDC Beach Resort, now has several amenities under one roof. Besides, Cycle Tourism is promoted and Ayurveda and Acupressure treatments are offered in an exclusive bamboo resort.
