| | The government of United Kingdom (UK) has banned its citizens fron undertaking travel to Mumbai, India informed in a travel advisory issued by UK government. It has urged to avoid non-essential travel plans to Mumbai. It further asked Britons in India to try and stay indoors and monitor the media and contact family and friends in the UK. Besides, it has informed its tourists to check up with their travel agents about the flight timings.
Similarly, Lawrence Cannon, Foreign Affairs Minister, Government of Canada, yesterday in an advisory, requested tourists to avoid non-essential travel to Mumbai due to the recent terrorist attack in Mumbai. He has further confirmed that two Canadians were injured in the violence, but did not reveal their names for privacy.
