| | US-based tour operator Tour America recently unveiled a student programme in India. It will be a five-day programme which will be available year round at Kennedy Space Centre, US for students in the age group of eight to 17 years. The main objective of the programme is to provide astronomical experience and promote space travel among students. Tour America is also planning to bring out a special deal with Lufthansa to promote the student programme in India. It is also working on making Visa procedures hassle free to attract more students for the programme.
Tour America, which was part of the third annual India Trade Mission, organised in Mumbai and New Delhi recently, is in talks with the travel trade to promote this programme in India. The company has already tied up with few operators in Chennai and a few students have already registered for the programme. Prior to India, the company launched this programme in Hong Kong, China and Japan.
