Vienna Tourist Board aims to promote MICE sector in India

To also promote Vienna as a leisure destination

With an aim to promote MICE facilities in Vienna in the Indian market, the Vienna Tourist Board recently held a meeting with the Indian travel trade in New Delhi. At the meeting the tourist board informed that is it planning to promote MICE sector in India which includes incentive vacations, business meetings, large congresses and conventions. This information was divulged by Norbert Kettner, Managing Director, Vienna Tourist Board.

Kettner said, “These days we have been organising a series of international congress in Vienna. Therefore, it is the best time to promote the same in India.” According to him, Vienna is among the world class MICE destinations and also number one in international congresses. The meet was also held to mark the 60th year of celebration of India and Austria diplomatic relationship.

Kettner mentioned that apart from promoting the MICE sector, the tourist board is also looking at promoting Vienna as a leisure destination in India. For the same, the tourist board will target the growing middle class segment in India. “Our main aim is to provide high quality services and tourism products to tourists visiting Vienna,
