WBTDC to aggressively promote Tea and Heritage Tourism circuits

West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation (WBTDC) will aggressively promote various facets of the state in domestic and international tourism markets. This year the Corporation will focus on Tea and Heritage Tourism by highlighting destinations which have tea gardens and heritage sites. It will promote heritage sites like Murshidabad, Coochbehar, Hooghly, Malda, Vishnupur, Nadia etc. For Tea Tourism, the Corporation will focus on Northern parts of the state such as Samsing, Murti, Mahua, Malbazar, Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling. WBTDC has upgraded various facilities like accommodation, log cabins, heritage bungalows (in tea gardens) to boost tourism.
