Wayanad Tourism Organisation (WTO), a non-governmental, non-profit organisation, to coordinate efforts to promote Wayanad as a tourist destination, is planning to request a grant from the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) for organising ‘SPLASH 2009’, an event themed on monsoon in Kerala. SPLASH 2009 is a nine-day programme that will take place from July 3-11, 2009 in Wayand. As reported earlier by TravelBiz Monitor on March 21, 2009, that the programme will have various outdoor and indoor activities related to monsoons.
